Getty Kasole, CEO & Founder

Getty was born and raised in Kinshasa, Congo. She has been living in the USA for over 10 years where she received her bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She has worked for Exelon Nuclear, and consulted for AECOM before she founded SolAfrica. She’s a lean focused project manager with expertise in delivering solid process improvements and implementing changes to drive cost and quality controls, efficiencies, with highly profitable deliverables. Her passion for the African continent coupled with her technical and management background has equipped her to target one of the most vital issues on the African continent, reliable access to energy. She’s taken an innovative approach to the issue that will decentralize access to energy and make it affordable, reliable, and green.

Aris Kakonde, Director of Marketing and operations

Aris has been working in Communication/Marketing and project management since 2005, Hilton Worlwide, UPAK, Kudos Research etc... prior to joining SolAfrica in 2019. Aris has a proven track record in organization, branding and project management acquired worldwide, in several industries and sectors as head of Brand Management, Marketing and Recruitment, in charge Customer Service and Sales in various parts of the world (United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Belgium and Congo). He is a versatile, forward-thinking professional, perfectionist, very creative and detail oriented. His abilities are reflected in a competitive environment where providing theoretical and practical solutions are needed. My professional experience has taught him to become a creative and effective problem solver, with an attitude of "leading by example". He has a BA (Hons) in Marketing Management specialization and also another Foundation Degree in community research and psychology

Anurag Kamal

Battery Expert Consultant

Anurag Kamal is a sustainability enthusiast working for e-mobility. He recognizes energy storage as the bottleneck for a switch to sustainability, and focuses on battery system design and development. During his masters he worked on extending Newman’s equations to aging batteries for his thesis at Michigan Tech, MI. He began working with electric vehicles and energy storage at a Volvo subsidiary in India for around 2 years, right after his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology in Mesra, India.

Being part of a diverse cohorts in entrepreneurial, engineering, and physics streams, Kamal explores the Silicon Valley’s clean energy space to be an active part of the global change in the energy scenario. At Solafrica, Kamal's role is to gouge and tailor energy storage systems to be suitable for our customer's specific needs.
